Heathrow airport has been closed after a British Airways plane had problems during landing.

Details are sketchy at present but pictures from the BBC indicate that the plane, a Boeing 777 BA038, landed short of the runway. Escape chutes were launched to evacuate passengers and it is understood that all passengers escaped safely. However, reports indicate that there have been three minor injuries.

All available fire crews are in attendance.
