The go ahead has been given to the construction and operation of two new wind farms at Tween Bridge & Keadby near Robin Hood Airport. Permission was granted on the basis that the developer complies with strict conditions which the Airport asked to be imposed: that the operator provides the additional radar equipment required to remedy the impacts on its radar that would otherwise occur. Robin Hood Airport initially objected to the plans because of concerns about the potential impacts on the Airport’s radar. Consultation is required wherever a new wind farm application is made within a 30 kilometre radius of any Airport. Post a comment
