Robin Hood Airport is due to place host to some of the classic passenger carrying airliners on the weekend of 19 & 20 April 2008. Following last year’s success, Classic Flight will return with a larger fleet of aircraft for the public to fly in. Among the planes available to fly is the Dakota, which after July 2008, due to European regulations, will no longer be able to carry passengers. Flights last at least 15 minutes, offering close up views of the local area. Pre booking is advisable as these pleasure flights are always very popular. Check in on the day is in the terminal building at Robin Hood Airport. Flights cost £65 per person, however savings can be made by booking flights on all three aircraft. Bookings can be made at www.classicflight.com, or by calling 08703 304 747.
