Passenger numbers are up again at Robin Hood Airport. More than 78,955 passengers travelled through the airport in March 2008 - a 12.6% increase on the same month last year.

Commenting on the success, Peel Airport’s Group Airports Director, Hugh Lang, said: “A year on year passenger increase of over twelve percent is something to be very proud of. This week saw the start of Warsaw, another new scheduled service providing the airport region with yet more year round choice”

The top five routes in March 2008 were:

1. Alicante (flights operated by Thomsonfly & Ryanair)
2. Dublin (flights operated by Ryanair)
3. Katowice/Cracow (flights operated by Wizz Air)
4. Malaga (flights operated by Thomsonfly)
5. Tenerife (flights operated by Thomsonfly)
