East Midlands airport is continuing to handle increasing numbers of passengers at the airport.

Figures just released show that the airport handled 563,159 passengers in June, a 5% increase on June 2007.

This is the second consecutive month that the airport has handled more than half a million passengers. Contributing to the growth was a 17% increase in non-EU routes.
