Passengers travelling to Southampton Airport are being advised of overnight road closures on the M27 tonight and tomorrow - 9 & 10 September.

The M27, junction 3 to junction 4, will be closed overnight in both directions to enable the installation of three gantries over the motorway – part of a £36m improvement scheme.

The full carriageway closures will be from 22:00 to 05:30 on each of the nights of 9 and 10 of September. During these times Rownhams Services will be closed so drivers are advised to use other service areas during these night works.

Diversion routes will be clearly signed and will use the A3057 and A27 from junctions 3 and 5.

Further closures will be necessary in late September/early October for installation of the remaining four gantries – dates to be advised.
