Passengers travelling to Southampton Airport should be aware that the M27, junctions 3 to 4 will be closed overnight in both directions from 22:00 to 05:30 tonight and tomorrow, Tuesday 14 October and Wednesday 15 October, to enable the installation of four gantries over the motorway and other road works.

This work is part of a £36m improvement scheme aimed at reducing delays between junctions 3 and 4 on the M27.

When complete there will four lanes in each direction on the M27 between these junctions. This stretch will also be equipped with gantry signs and other electronic signs providing real time information for drivers.
