Work has begun on a £1.7 million extension and refurbishment of the departure lounge area at Glasgow Prestwick Airport, which will provide extra space with new seating and toilets.

On Wednesday 29 October Prestwick airport is due to release its draft Master Plan outlining its vision for the future, including passenger and freight projections plus details of transport and infrastructure requirements for 2018 and 2033.
