They were among the most eagerly awaited flights the Yorkshire region has seen –the first direct departures from Leeds Bradford Airport to New York City departed on board Jet2.com flight number LS4001.

The Boeing 757 aircraft was sold out, full of local passengers bound for the first of four, three-night shopping trips to the Big Apple courtesy of Jet2holidays and Jet2.com.
