British Airways has been named the official airline of the British & Irish Lions Tour to South Africa.

The airline will fly the squad and coaching staff from Heathrow to South Africa and within the country using its branded franchise carrier, Comair.

BA has announced that, due to demand, it is increasing the number of flights between Heathrow airport and Johannesburg from 14 to 19 per week from 1 May 2009.
