British Airways has announced it is to sell its 10.5 per cent share in Air Mauritius for £3.2 million.

The airline, which has held a stake in Air Mauritius since 1973, is to sell its 3.84 % share in Air Mauritius Ltd to the Mauritian Government and its 13.24 % share in Air Mauritius Holding Company Limited to existing shareholders.

The sale, which was agreed with the full co-operation of Air Mauritius and the Mauritian government, is expected to be completed within the next month.
