Austrian Airlines has announced a new twice-daily service to Vienna from London City Airport. The London City flights will commence on 29 October and will bring the number of European destinations from LCY to 31. The new service will be operated on a Fokker 70 from London City Airport at 1025 and 2000 Monday to Friday – no service at the weekends. Commenting on the new route, Richard Gooding OBE, Chief Executive of London City Airport said, “We welcome Austrian Airlines, a Star Alliance member, to our growing network of popular European destinations. Vienna is one of the farthest routes that can be reached from our Docklands hub and provides an ideal gateway to Eastern Europe and beyondâ€.
