Belfast Airports, as it gets ready for its busiest weekend this Saturday, also celebrates a rise in passenger numbers by 8% for June.
And the high passenger numbers are set to continue into July as this week the airport looks to handle over 150,000 passengers as they jet away.
With 100 flights arriving and departing each day, a huge 152,000 passengers will use the airport this week, with Saturday 11th July set to be its busiest day with 21,000 passengers expected.
The airport is seeing high numbers across all its routes, especially firm favourites – Alicante, Barcelona, Faro, Palma, Ibiza, Nice, Amsterdam and Cyprus benefiting from extra traffic. Plus, new routes from Belfast International Airport such as Corfu, Gran Canaria, Katowice, Prague, Reykjavik, Rome, Verona, Vilnius and Zante.
What’s more, the airport has been boosted by new long haul destinations being offered by the airport, with the arrival of Thomas Cook’s new stop, Belfast to Florida and Belfast to Las Vegas. As well as Virgin Atlantic’s new service to Belfast to Orlando.
