United Airlines has reinstated its Belfast to Newark, New York service, making it the only direct link between Northern Ireland and the USA.
Originally instated 10 years ago, the airline stopped the all- year round service earlier this year, between January and March; operating again from April.
However, from next Spring the airline will operate right through January, February and March, making the service an all-year round, direct route.
Speaking about the updated service, United’s Managing Director Sale, UK and Ireland, Bob Schumacher, said, “New York remains a popular destination for travelers and our Newark Liberty hub provides the most convenient route into the city as well as easy connections to hundreds of other destinations across the United States and beyond. With this schedule change, we are offering our customers even more choice.”
