Birmingham Airport has reported its April 2014 passenger numbers and they are good…
… so good they are their highest ever, in the history of the airport – a whopping 750,000 passengers!
As well as breaking one self-record, the airport also saw the most ever amount of passengers fly long haul, up by 20.9% compared to April last year.
And the airport is only set to get busier, as this Spring the airport will finish its runway expansion which sees even more long haul flights added, such as flights to the Far East, like the Beijing flights on offer later this summer, and flights to West Coast of America due to the extra 400 meter runway extension.
The most popular routes were to Jersey and Fuerteventura, whereby passenger numbers were double on previous years, as well as big increases being seen on flights to Italy, Malta and Portugal.
