Birmingham Airport has unveiled a new cycle and footpath scheme to make access to the airport safer for pedestrians and cyclists.

A proper footpath now exists for people walking to and from the railway station. There is also new pedestrian and cycle access from Bickenhill Lane and a new footpath/cycle path along Herald Road to improve access to Ramp Road.

Stephen Holt, Birmingham International Airport’s Transportation Planning Manager, said: ” We are hoping that these improvements will encourage more people to walk or cycle to and from the Airport and we look forward to welcoming more cyclists and pedestrians over the coming months.”
