Half term has helped Bristol Airport bring in strong passenger numbers during May, having already seen a buoyant April.
Passenger numbers increased by 7.8% when comparing the same month last year, which equates to total passenger numbers in May recorded at 656,000, thanks to not only the half term but also two bank holidays.
What’s more, charter traffic grew by 10%.
The airport has benefitted from continued support and commitment from new and existing tour operators and airlines, such as the airport’s biggest tour operators, Thomas Cook and Thomson, who have extended their offering this year.
In addition, budget airline, easyJet, started flying to Bilbao, Catania, Isle of Man, Porto, Gibraltar, Lanzarote and Zante. Whist Wizz Air are about to launch their new Katowice, Poland in June.
