New airport car park planned for mushroom farm

Plans to create a new Bristol airport parking site on a mushroom farm in Somerset have angered local residents.

Developers want to transform part of the land at Monaghan’s Mushroom Farm,Langford, in to a 1,200 vehicle car park for a new Bristol airport park and ride scheme.

Managing director, Stephen Merry, said: ‘I intend to lease the land from the farm, and I can give you my personal assurance that if the farm was to go under I would not seek to use the remainder of the land.’
