Low cost airline, Norwegian is to fly a charter service from Cardiff Airport to Tenerife this summer.
The service will be part of a partnership with First Choice and Thomson, part of the TUI Group.
The new service will be using the airline’s brand new aircraft, boasting free in-fight WiFi for passengers.
Speaking about the new charter service, Karen Switzer, Director of Aviation Planning for Thomson and First Choice, said, “The introduction of this extra flight to Tenerife demonstrates our commitment to Cardiff Airport and the local area. It adds more choice of flights and flexibility for 10 and 11 night holidays to this popular destination and will allow our customers in the Cardiff area to experience even more exciting holidays.”
As the 7th most popular destination from Cardiff, the Tenerife service is expected to be extremely popular – the Canary Island boasts warm temperatures all year round, particularly hot in the summer months, with a great choice of accommodation options, beautiful beaches, clear waters and welcoming locals. It’s an island suitable for young and old, couples and families.
Ms Switzer added, “Expanding access to our portfolio of destinations and hotels is a key part of our overall strategy and we hope that this move will enhance the holiday experience for our customers.”
