Wizz Air has announced the introduction of allocated seating. After a successful week-long trial on its London Luton to Budapest route, the airline is to introduce allocated seating on its entire network from 29 October. Charges for allocated seating will be €5 if made at the time of booking, or €10 if added at a later date via call centre or at the airport. Wizz Air operates flights from London Luton, London Gatwick, Stansted, Doncaster-Sheffield Airport, Liverpool Airport, Glasgow Prestwick, and Durham Tees Valley Airport. Durham Tees Valley airport has unveiled new parking arrangements including a new specific ‘drop-off’ area separate from the main long-stay facilities. Under the new arrangements there will be no charge for drivers using the ‘drop off-pick up’ area for up to 10 minutes. The charge from ten to 30 minutes will be £1—half the previous charge—and remain at £3 for between 30 and 60 minutes. There are some minor amendments to the charges for long stay parking, but key rates, for instance those for a week and a fortnight, remain unchanged. The new arrangements have come into immediate effect. For further information on Durham Tees Valley airport parking and Teesside airport hotels check out Durham Tees Valley airport information. |
