Manx2.com has launched a video promoting travel to the Isle of Man. The short film, which is now live on Manx2.com’s home page www.manx2.com, gives potential visitors an insight into the island’s attractions, and explains how quick and easy it is to get here. Noel Hayes, Chairman of Manx2.com, said: “We hope that our new video will give a glimpse of the many things the Isle of Man has to offer and persuade more people to try our excellent, award-winning service. As a locally-based company we are proud to do whatever we can to stimulate trade and tourism, and I hope that this latest innovation will do just that.†The new video has been launched just days after Manx2.com won the Isle of Man Newspapers Award for Excellence in recognition of its customer service, reliability and growth. The air operator was awarded the Tynwald Mills Award for being the island’s best Small/Medium Enterprise of the Year. Chris Corlett, Co-Chairman of the Award for Excellence Judging Panel, said: “Since Manx2 began in 2006 it has grown quickly and become popular with many island air travellers. “Its key to success came from seeing a niche market in flying to smaller airports, which has resulted in increased sales and passenger numbers year on year. This has also been helped by its 99% reliability rating and its focus on customer care and service.†It is the second time that Manx2.com has won the award, which attracted more than 80 entries from Isle of Man businesses. In 2007 it won the Isle of Man Bank ‘Small Sized Organisation of the Year’ award at the Isle of Man Excellence Awards. Mr Hayes, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won this award for the second time in three years; it shows that the Manx2.com team have really worked hard to deliver consistently high-quality service. As well as low fares, reliability and service, I think that a key reason for our success has been our ability to innovate and attract new customers. “In order to maintain and grow our network of smaller, lifeline links to the Island we have had to create passenger interest by being innovative in our approach to promoting our services, and this video is an example of how we have done that.†Manx2.com flies a variety of 19-seat aircraft from the Isle of Man to seven destinations around the British Isles: Blackpool, Belfast City, Belfast International airport, Leeds Bradford, Nottingham East Midlands, Gloucester M5 and Jersey.
