A record 534,690 passengers travelled through East Midlands Airport in May – a 10.7% increase in passenger numbers on May 2007 and the first time the airport has handled more than half a million passengers in a month.

Overall, the trend in passenger numbers at the airport is up – the airport has seen 26 months of consecutive passenger growth.
