The World Superbike Championship hits Donington Park this weekend and passengers travelling to East Midlands Airport are advised to allow extra time for their journey and be alert for motorcyclists using the roads.

The M1 will be busier than usual with traffic travelling to and from the event on Friday 5, Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 September.

Overnight resurfacing work to lane 1 of the northbound M1 carriageway between junctions 23A and 24 near Kegworth in Leicestershire will be suspended during the night on Friday 5 September to Saturday 6 September to provide easier access to and from Donington Park.
