Passengers flying out of Edinburgh can now enjoy the first ever direct service between the Scottish airport and Chicago by United Airlines.
The airline will fly into Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, the fifth busiest airport in the world.
United Airlines has added the sough after direct Edinburgh to Chicago service to its summer service, which will run up to 5th October 2014.
Operating five times a week between now and 11th June, the service will increase to daily from 12th June to 1st September, before the service goes to four times a week from 2nd September to 5th October.
The flights will use a Boeing 757-200 that has 169 seats which offers a choice of 16 flatbed seats in United BusinessFirst and 153 in United Economy, plus 45 Economy Plus.
