Over one million passengers’ boarded flights from Edinburgh Airport last month, May, making it the airport’s busiest month, ever!
This equates to a year on year rise of 8.5%, helped by many factors as the airport goes from strength to strength.
More passengers than ever travelled overseas, helped by many new European routes being launched, such as Jet2 launching new flights to Spain and Greece and Delta’s all year round long haul service to JFK, New York.
Commenting on the record month, Edinburgh Airport’s Chief Executive, Gordon Dewar, said, “May’s record-breaking passenger figures make this another great month at Edinburgh Airport. This is great news for Scotland’s connectivity and the economy at large.”
