BA axes Gatwick to Manchester flights

Gatwick to Manchester flights are set to end in March due to lack of demand.

The route, which has been operated by British Airways for the past 20 years, will cease on 31 March 2013.

BA currently carries 147,000 passengers a year on the route, which operates 19 times per week – three-times daily during the week and two daily on Saturdays and Sundays – carrying 147,000 passengers per year.

London to Manchester flights will continue to operate from Heathrow.
