Figures released yesterday show BAA’s UK airports handled 14 million passengers in September – an increase of 2.9% September 2006.

Of all its UK airports, Aberdeen airport posted the largest percentage increase of 10.5% followed by Edinburgh airport with a rise of 6.5%. BAA’s only airport to see a reduction in passenger traffic was Glasgow airport which showed a small dip of 0.8%.

BAA’s London airports saw increases of: Gatwick 3.9%, Stansted 2.5% and Heathrow passenger numbers showed an increase of 2.1%. Southampton airport also posted a increase of 2.6%.
