Flybe is to double the amount of checked-in baggage that passengers can carry.

From 1 December, passengers can pre-pay for two or more bags giving them a total of up to 40kg of baggage – double the current weight permitted.

Bags must be pre-booked up to four hours in advance of travel, any passengers choosing to pay for additional bags less than four hours before their flight will not receive the additional weight allowance.

Passengers flying in Flybe’s Economy Plus will, from 1 December 2009, be permitted to carry the increased allowance free of charge.
