Figures just released by BAA Gatwick show that the airport handled 2,152,716 passengers in November, and increase of 132,964 passengers compared with November 2006 – a rise of 6.2%

November also saw Gatwick airport break the 35 million passenger barrier for the first time. In the twelve months to end of November 2007, Gatwick handled more than 35 million passengers.

Andy Flower, Managing Director BAA Gatwick said: “Gatwick’s continued steady growth shows the popularity of the airport with our airlines and with our passengers,”

“Our passengers have an ever increasing choice of routes as well as enjoying our excellent and improving facilities and superb transport links to Central London and the rest of Southern England.”
