Gatwick Airport is reminding those travelling with young families that it’s a very family friendly airport.
In fact; it even holds ‘family friendly’ credentials from the Family and Childcare Trust, and was the first airport in the UK to be given the honour.
As a result, the UK’s second largest airport has put a lot into making a young family’s time at the airport, quite literally, ‘child’s play’.
So if you’re flying out of Gatwick this summer check out just some of the ways the airport makes your time easier – it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3…
Family Assistance Lanes – these separate lanes give those with small children extra space and help when getting through security.
Baby Change – there are lots of baby changing facilities throughout the airport, both in female and male toilets, along with private areas for feeding.
Children’s Menus – there are children’s menus in each of the food outlets at Gatwick, whether you’re stopping for a snack, lunch or dinner. There’s even a baby bottle warming service in Pret a Manger’s North and South terminal outlets.
Buggies for loan – the airport has free to use buggies to help transport little ones around the airport if yours has been checked in.
Play Zones – free areas for kids to watch TV and play with the facilities, along with lots of seating for parents to relax with a take-away coffee, in the Departure Lounges.
Airport Lounges – children can also use the Airport Lounges, with special discounted rates for children.
