Passenger numbers at Gatwick are continuing to rise.

Figures released by BAA show 2,220,032 passengers passed through Gatwick airport in January, a rise of 1% on last January’s figures. Contributing to the growth, were rises in passenger numbers to Ireland (up 22.4%) and an increase of 5.6% in European scheduled traffic.

In the twelve months to end January 2008, 35,189,300 passed through the airport, an increase of 2.9% on the previous twelve months.
