No longer will travellers be able to purchase a raffle ticket in the departure lounges of BAA owned airports – Heathrow, Stansted, Edinburgh and Glasgow – to win a luxury car. BAA has ceased the contract with Aim-listed, Best of the Best, which gives travellers a chance to win luxury cars such as a Porsche or Ferrari. The raffles have been in operation for 10 years. BAA has a 13.8% stake in Best of the Best. Once the announcement was made Best of the Best saw its shares crash 14pts to 15p. The luxury car raffle company has said it has now been ‘forced into an operational review of the business’. The company continues to have operations in Gatwick Airport’s two terminals. BAA is to install additional seating and signage in the areas where the luxury cars are displayed. To search and book holiday car rental or motorhome hire click on the links. |
