A new traffic marshalling scheme designed to improve traffic flows and security around Gatwick Airport will start on 21 April. The service, operated by Vinci Park, will provide parking enforcement support to the team of traffic wardens operating at the airport with emphasis on perimeter roads and forecourts. Vinci Park currently runs 7700 airport parking spaces at Gatwick in 11 Gatwick airport car parks for staff. Head of Commercial Transport at BAA Gatwick, Fraser Brown, said “The safety and security of our passengers remains our number one priority. The new team of marshals will provide valuable support to the traffic wardens in maintaining the flow of traffic through our forecourts. By moving on any parked vehicles and freeing up valuable drop off bays, delays for passengers will be kept to a minimum. Marshals will redirect drivers who are not immediately dropping off passengers to our refurbished short stay car parks in order to prevent congestion. We are looking forward to working with Vinci to provide the best possible experience for our passengers.” To book your Gatwick meet and greet parking or Gatwick taxi click on the links.
