I have written to Ryanair 3 times since 2 May enclosing substantiating evidence of our claim for reimbursement for the week we were stranded in Sicily without response. I would welcome some sort of reply from somebody, ANYBODY.

we agree totally with the comment above. Other than receiving confirmation of permission to actually submit a claim to them no response whatsoever despite full documentation and proof of claim being issued to them. No response to e mails, faxes and no contact numbers. Can anyone advise a way to get this moving somehow as we are hundreds of pounds out of pocket.

Still waiting, still no response. If there is anyone out there who has managed to receive reimbursement or even a response, can you please tell me how on earth you managed it. I would be eternally grateful.

@Cecilia try contacting the Air Users Council – it has a consumer advice line that is open Monday to Thursday 9.30am to 2.30pm – 020 7240 6061. There’s also a good article here: http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/bargains-and-rip-offs/travel/article.html?in_article_id=503227&in_page_id=1093 If anyone reading this blog has had problems getting ash cloud compensation from Ryanair do get in touch to let us know your stories.

Have had the same problem as you all. Have now filed a claim for my money with an online small claims court. Hope to get some response now.

Yes also had no reply from Ryan Air since our claim in May 10. Have written once without reply. Only communication we had was after we submitted our claim when they said they would validate/process our claim within 28 working days.

2 February 2011- I put my claim in July 2010 to Ryanair. I still have not had any feedback other than your claim will be processed with the next 25 days.

My claim is now outstanding for nearly a year. After a number of delays they offered to pay something last year but the money never arrived! I have read that many other people have had the same experience. Most folk gave up before the action started, ’cause Ryanair initially refused to accept any claims, then devised an awkward and changing process for those submitting claims, and compounded by huge wait times.
