National Express is looking for a buyer for Dot2Dot, the airport shuttle bus service.

In an Interim Management Statement issued on Friday, 24 October, National Express said:

“We have taken the decision to exit our Dot2Dot start up operation. As we have highlighted previously, revenue growth has not been as strong as anticipated and we believe that our resources are better focused on our core business at this time”.

The Dot2Dot shuttle service first started in November of last year offering a shuttle service between central London and Gatwick and Heathrow airports. However, in July the company announced it was to cease operations to Gatwick airport and focus on Heathrow.

In September the company announced it was slashing prices by 20% for bookings made in October to make the cost of its service between London and Heathrow cheaper than the Heathrow Express.

National Express is looking to sell Dot2Dot as a going concern.
