Swarovski has unveiled two 12ft-high Christmas trees in Terminal 5 draped in more than 2,000 sparklingly decorations to celebrate the holiday season.
Their arrival comes as Heathrow begins to see a significant increase in gifting at the airport with the number of passengers travelling to visit friends and family increasing to 41%.
The Christmas trees are an airport-first for Heathrow and Swarovski and provide a fantastic welcome for some of the 4.3 million passengers expected to travel during December.
Passengers inspired by this the sparkling display, will be able to browse the Swarovski stores in Terminals 1, 3 and 4 and the specially designed pop-up store in Terminal 5. The store design features Swarovski’s stunning Crystal Forest architecture concept, and displays the world of Swarovski products together; including jewellery, time pieces, fragrance and a sophisticated gifting range.
Peter Zottl, Swarovski’s Vice President Travel Retail said: ‘Our mission is to bring sparkle to people’s everyday lives and I am delighted we have been able to achieve this in such an iconic space at Heathrow. We have a long association with the airport and on the success of our newest pop-up store, we are excited about the future opportunities that Heathrow holds.’
