Flybe is celebrating its 2.5 millionth passenger out of Leeds Bradford Airport with a special 2013 time capsule.
The time capsule was put together by the airline, airport and support from local school, Rufford Park.
Pupils took part in a competition to create a piece of artwork that celebrated the joy and excitement of flying. The winners, Year 5 students, 10 year old Hannah and nine year old Freya, helped bury the time capsule at the airport with airport Marketing Director, Tony Hallwood.
Also included in the time capsule included Flybe model airplane, collectable scale model Dash Q400 (Item No. SMDASH8-43N), Leeds Bradford Airport engraved pen, certificate to celebrate Flybe’s 2.5millionth passenger at Leeds Bradford Airport, Bill McGinnis, Merlin the Southampton Airport bear (Channel Island Bears) which symbolises the Flybe’s route from Leeds Bradford to Southampton Airport and a copy of the Belfast Telegraph to symbolise the service to Belfast by Flybe from the airport.
