Following a recent audit, Leeds Bradford Airport has been re-accredited with ISO 14002 certification – the international standard for environmental management.

In order to gain ISO 14001 accreditation, industries need to demonstrate sound business management incorporating green issues and environmental management.

The audit covered risk assessments, daily aircraft turnaround audits, training records, personal protective equipment, manual handling and first aid.

Tony Hallwood, Commercial & Aviation Development Director at Leeds Bradford Airport said “We are delighted to have again achieved ISO 14001. It goes a long way in demonstrating our ongoing commitment towards effectively managing our environmental issues.

We are very proud of our business partners and the hard work and commitment that they have put into making sure that Leeds Bradford International Airport makes for a clean, safe and comfortable environment from which our customers can start their journey.”
