Leeds Airport saw a record 345,000 passengers pass through the terminal during August – the highest the airport has ever experienced in a single month, and 5% up on last year. The number of passengers travelling out during the popular summer months has also shown significant growth with a total of 1,277,752 passengers passing through the airport from May to August, making Leeds Bradford International Airport one of the fastest growing airports in the UK. Both Jet2.com’s double daily Malaga flight and Ryanair’s Dublin service carried over 20,000 passengers and had the strongest demand from Leeds Bradford International Airport. Tony Hallwood, Commercial & Aviation Development Director at Leeds Airport said, “Leeds Bradford International Airport continues to outperform the market and takes its lead from the strength of the Yorkshire Economy. With our route network now at 76 destinations and still growing, the airport, is delivering to both business and leisure passengers and increasing inbound tourism opportunities.” For up-to-date Leeds airport information and to book Leeds airport parking and Leeds airport hotels click on the links.
