KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has marked the start of its additional fourth daily service from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (JLA) to Amsterdam by celebrating in style with passengers and staff. On hand to meet with passengers at check-in was Boet Kreiken, KLM City Hopper’s Managing Director and Anko van der Werff, the airline’s Head of Commercial, who joined airport staff to offer a range of Chinese speciality food to departing passengers in recognition of the improved worldwide links to destinations such as China. The increased frequency brings extra capacity to the route and is in addition to improved timings for the original three daily flights, increasing long haul connectivity via KLM’s hub, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. These improvements come just over a year after the Liverpool Amsterdam route launch and mean that travellers in the Liverpool region can now take advantage of smooth and seamless travel to destinations such as Shanghai, Johannesburg and Mexico.
