Romanian airline, Blue Air, has announced it is to launch another new service from Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
Blue Air will fly from Liverpool Airport to Cluj, Romania, the country’s second largest city.
This will be the airline’s third service to fly from Liverpool Airport, already flying to Bucharest and Bacau.
The new Cluj Liverpool John Lennon service will commence on 6th June 2016, flying twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays.
Speaking about the new service, Andrew Cornish, CEO of Liverpool John Lennon Airport commented, “This is an exciting time for the Airport with airlines such as Blue Air recognising the tremendous opportunities available to grow their business from here. Over the past 12 months we have secured flights from 5 new airlines, announced 12 new services to 8 new destinations, bringing over 90 additional flights per week.”
Whilst Blue Air General Manager, Gheorghe Racaru, said, ”Liverpool to Cluj Napoca is the third route that we will open in less than a year since the first Blue Air flight from John Lennon Airport. The Liverpool to Bucharest and Liverpool to Bacau routes represent a real success in Blue Air’s portfolio and this was possible thanks to the support of our partners in the UK and specifically due to the involvement of Liverpool John Lennon Airport.”
