Liverpool John Lennon Airport has secured a new route by Spanish airline, Vueling, to Barcelona.
The popular city break destinations, the UK’s top city break, Barcelona will be available from next March, 2016.
The service will operate three times a week, from 27th March, operating on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays. And with convenient flight times, the service is ideal for city breakers over a weekend, and corporate travellers for a working week.
What’s more, Barcelona is Vueling’s hub airport, so passengers have the choice of extending their Liverpool departure to change at Barcelona and open up a further 130 destinations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa; negating the need to travel to the larger UK airports, and instead fly from their local, and convenient, airport.
Liverpool John Lennon Airport now offers a total of nine different airlines, with a large choice of destinations on offer.
Speaking about the new service, Andrew Cornish, CEO of Liverpool John Lennon Airport said, “This is more fantastic news for LJLA and the Liverpool City Region with another airline to add to our expanding list of operators. This further adds to our growing reputation amongst Europe’s major airlines as a gateway not only to Liverpool but the wider North West market.”
