This morning KLM touched down in London City Airport, the first time in 8 years.
This morning’s flight – an Embraer 190 aircraft, which carries up to 100 passengers – landed safe and well, flying both UK and Dutch colours as it taxied along the runway.
Flying daily between the two cities, Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is a major international hub airport which will open up global flights across the world to passengers using the service as a gateway. And by the end of March the service will be operating four times a day.
The new route will see the airline fly between London City and Amsterdam is expected to be a huge hit, which both city breakers and long haulers alike.
The airline will offer a number of KLM Cityhopper connections to its worldwide network of over 150 destinations, including New York, Dubai, Hong Kong and Lagos.
