British Airways gave their brand new service – London City to Berlin – a fabulous send off as it launched to the skies with an authentic Oompah Band, the Die Dort Fest Kapelle.
The band was there to help staff and passengers celebrate the brand new service to the German city, which will operate three times a day.
With prices from just £49, which includes a generous luggage allowance, there’s never been a better time to travel.
The new route compliments the airline’s existing German routes, launched earlier this Spring, to Hamburg, as well as its routes to Dusseldorf and Frankfurt.
Demand has been high for the German services, which now take BA to 70 flights per week to the European country.
Speaking about the new service, Luke Hayhoe, British Airways’ General Manager Commercial and Customer, London City, said: “We are delighted to extend our flights to Germany, offering the best choice of destinations and schedules from London City Airport. This is a very important market for us and means we can offer customers what they want, excellent network and frequencies, a choice of 32 destinations in the UK, Europe and the USA and low all-inclusive fares.”
