Last year was a good year for London City Airport as it saw passenger numbers rise by 12 per cent with a record 3.3 million people travelling through the airport.

The previous year, 2007, saw a 23% increase in passenger numbers and these numbers should continue to rise after the airport was granted planning permission in October to increase the number of permitted flights movements to 120,000 per year, up from 80,000.
