London Luton Airport and its Charity of the Year, NOAH Enterprise, have jointly launched a community-wide appeal to support the homeless this Winter. The appeal was launched at the Airport during the unveiling of an exhibition by NOAH Enterprise in the Airport’s Gateway Gallery, on show throughout November and which celebrates the lifesaving work the charity carries out in the community. Local people are encouraged to donate any unwanted quality saleable items to NOAH Enterprise during BIG Help Week which runs from 21st-27th of November. During this time donations can be made at any of the following community drop off points: Drop-Off Points:
NOAH can offer a free collection service for larger items. Jim O’Connor, Chief Executive of NOAH Enterprise said “At this time of year, conditions can be especially harsh for those living on the streets of Luton. Last year our night shelter helped around 60 people survive the winter who may not have survived otherwise. BIG Help Week will raise awareness for our work and raise funds to provide help to those who need it most. We are delighted that London Luton Airport has given us a platform for this initiative”.
