With a 30% rise in passenger numbers, London Luton Airport certainly has reason to celebrate this month.
The airport is one of Europe’s fastest growing, and last year saw a staggering 870,000 passengers pass through its doors.
With many travellers using the airport as a gateway for European city breaks, the airport is expanding its route portfolio.
In March alone, the airport has welcomed new routes to Amsterdam, Barcelona, Kaunas, Jersey and Turin.
The airport is investing heavily in its future expansion, and sees a current £110 million development underway. The development will support its 23rd month of consecutive growth, as more and more passengers look to fly from the regional airport, as it looks to increase passenger numbers by 50% in the next four years to 18 million.
