Luton Airport has launched a public consultation on its draft Airport Surface Access Strategy, which was unveiled yesterday.

The draft Airport Surface Access Strategy outlines proposals to improve access to and from the airport and includes options for the use of sustainable transport.

James Shearman, Environment Manager at London Luton said “In conjunction with our transport stakeholders through our Airport Transport Forum, we are proud to publish this draft Airport Surface Access Strategy for public consultation. In recent years London Luton Airport has seen a positive shift towards the use of more sustainable forms of transport by employees and passengers. This Airport Surface Access Strategy intends to build on this good work and we encourage feedback from airport users and members of the public during the consultation period.”

The consultation is open until 2 January 2012.
