A huge £1.5 million boost to Manchester’s parks has been achieved, thanks to the City Council’s stake in Manchester Airport.
This means that a wealth of improvements can be carried out across the city, as part of the Clean City Fund, with works already underway at Fletcher Moss Gardens in Didsbury.
The improvements include pathway repairs, new park benches, flower bed updates and the planting of new trees and shrubbery. What’s more, some parks will benefit from new sports and play equipment.
Over the coming months parks to benefit include Baguley Park, Chorlton Park, Milky Button Wood, Nuthurst Park, Philips Park, Painswick Park, Peel Hall Park and Roseberry Street Park.
