As part of its Winter 2016/7 schedule, Ryanair has announced it is to introduce a new service out of Manchester Airport to the Germany city of Nuremberg.
The new service will take off on 1st November 2016 and operate daily.
The move comes as the airline look to set up a base in the German airport; therefore, as a result, it has announced an increased service from Nuremberg to Stansted to twice a day. Also, it has added new routes out of Nuremberg to Bergamo, Budapest, Ciampino, Malta, Milan and Rome next winter.
Speaking about the Nuremberg business strategy Ryanair’s Chief Marketing Officer, Kenny Jacobs, said, “Our Nuremberg winter schedule is the ideal choice for both business and leisure customers and we look forward to growing routes, traffic, jobs and tourism in Germany.”
Whilst, Nuremberg Airport’s Managing Director, Michael Hupe, added, “The new destinations are a highly appreciated enrichment of our route network, addressing business and leisure travellers. Ryanair recognised the high potential of the Nuremberg metropolitan region and is going to seize the opportunities that our market provides to the airline. Nuremberg will be Ryanair’s seventh base in Germany and 79th across its network – it already has German bases at Berlin Schonefeld, Bremen, Dusseldorf, Cologne Bonn, Frankfurt Hahn and Baden.”
